The 3rd of June sees the lads play at the Arndale Centre in Manchester
and the 4th sees The View support them at Moho....
June 2009 will go down in Twisted Wheel history with their three momentous gigs supporting Oasis at Heaton Park in Manchester. Thousands of people turned out to witness their blistering set.

with a busy week crammed with BMW/Mini photo shoot in Germany, its down to London for the iTunes Festival with Kasabian on the 22nd....

then jetting off for their first trip to Japan for the Fuji Rock Festival
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1st of August - its Kendal Calling, a wonderful little festival... (but very muddy)...
.....followed a week later with Jonny's acoustic set at Bar Bliss in Leigh - crowd surfing included!! and another acoustic set, this time at the Jamm in Brixton the following week. Then its back over to Europe for a few more festivals, before jetting back to take part in Aberdeen's Wizard Festival. .. The end of August sees us all over in Milan for the Urban Festival and what should have seen Oasis playing - but as we all know, just wasnt to be - nevertheless, the festival thankfully went ahead with Twisted Wheel playing a blistering set that the Italian crowd went mad for!!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3rd September, its back down to business at the Monarch, in Camden, which is totally packed to the rafters. Three days later and its over to Jersey for their festival where the lads had a great time with Craig Charles, as well as playing on both nights to the mainly student audience. The end of September, its the One Big Boof Festival at Whitehaven's Civic Hall - with sheep and seagulls in attendance!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, October, and its back on the road with another headline tour, seeing the likes of New Education, The Kayas, Where's Strutter? and 12 Dirty Bullets supporting... First stop is the boiling hot venue in York - Fibbers, followed by Oxford and Derby.... the tour continues to Colchester, manic Brighton, then Exeter. Before continuing the tour, the lads play a charity gig at their local pub, the Church Inn, on a cold rainy night in Saddleworth - they certainly turned the heat up in that marquee...
then back with the tour in Glasgow, Aberdeen (with the chaps from Loaded Magazine) and the awsome Doghouse in Dundee on Halloween!!!! Then up to Dunfermline and back down to Liverpool. ... Stuckton, and the totally jammed packed SugarMill in Stoke and equally packed was the 53 Degrees in Preston (with Tom Peek of Kid British standing in for the injured Rick). A week later, and the lads are back supporting Paul Weller on his winter tour, kicking off at the Assembly Rooms in Derby........
then on to Norwich, Preston and Glasgow Barrowlands. Followed by Halifax, Carlisle, Bridlington, Bradford and the beautiful Llandudno. Journeying South to Portsmouth, Margate, Coventry and the last gig of the year in the picturesque city of Cambridge.
With such an action packed year, is it any wonder that they have been voted (2nd) most hard working band in 2009 by the Performing Rights Society?
If you werent lucky enough to catch them play live in 2009, make sure you put this right in 2010. Their next headline tour kicks off in February 2010 so make sure you get your tickets as they are selling out quickly.
Meanwhile the lads would like to thank each and every one of their new, and old fans for their support in 2009 and look forward to playing to you all in 2010
lets make 2010 even more of a year to remember!!
