Twisted Wheel @ Sherwood Pines Forest Park (supporting Paul Weller) 19/06/09

Bit of a nightmare getting there due to road closures and seemingly non stop traffic jams on the M1, nearly six (yes really) hours and a lot of swearing later, the sight of Forest Pines Forest Park suddenly made the whole effort a lot more worth while. What a beautiful setting. Photobucket
Twisted Wheel set list:
'Lucy The Castle'
'Bad Candy'
'Shes A Weapon'
'Strife'
'Honey Girl' (with new lyrics)
'Let Them Have It All'
'Turn Around'
'You Stole The Sun'
'Oh What Have You Done'
'We Are Us'
The audience tonight were a slightly more quiet affair than the hectic and beer (& ****) throwing of late, at the Heaton Park dates. The Weller fans listened intently to Twisted Wheel's firey set and were well responsive to each and every song, many even joined in with 'You Stole The Sun' which is always a crowd favourite. A welcome return to the set of 'Honey Girl' (with the excellent new lyrics btw) which got the fans swaying in time with the guitar. Photobucket
The evening was rounded off with 'We Are Us', with the audience really showing their appreciation of a great set by the lads. I am sure a lot of Weller fans will be buying the album now!!

A superbly restored Lambretta SX 200 - totally mint... (reminded me of the 'mirrored' TV I found in the car park at the Silverstone gig - but this SX was totally awsome).... When I get the new Lambretta, I will have to get Twisted Wheel to sign it............... ))
